About Us:

Blackwater Valley Canoe Club aims to encourage particpation, fun and enjoyment through Paddlesports.

We need your help so we can continue to develop particpants coaches, leaders, invest in new equipment, continue to book suitable venues and have the qualified members to run events for groups and charities.

We are looking at a few future investments.

1. Club Development

We would like to allocate more funds to our dedicated volunteers and community so as we can develop more coaches and leaders to train internally but also get more external help for anything that we can't currently offer. Our development plan can be found on our website under our documents www.bvcc.org.uk/documents/

2. Sit on Tops (SOT) and Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP)

Increasing in our number of SOT and SUP shall open up the sport for those worried about capsizing in the conventional closed cockpit kayaks. It can also increase session capacity at and help keep breifs and induction processes shorter.

3. Pontoon and Polo Boats

Through investing in more polo boats and enhancing our facilities we can run more canoe polo tournaments locally. This will not only bring more people into the area to compete but also help us expand our ladies team and develop a youth team right on our doorstep with day tournaments. Currently, players have to travel at least an hour, often longer to play in league games and tournaments. Being able to host competitive matches locally would be a huge benefit for the club and the South East region as a whole.

Thank you for your support and good luck, from all at Blackwater Valley Canoe Club!
