About Community Fund:
Rushmoor Community Lottery is a weekly lottery that directly support good causes and community initiatives which benefit the Rushmoor community.
Lotteries are a fun and effective way for causes to raise much-needed funds in these difficult times. By getting more people on board, they don’t just raise funds, they also raise awareness.
When you buy a ticket, 60% of the money will go to good causes (more than DOUBLE what the National Lottery gives) AND the money raised is going to good causes that benefit your local community.
The Rushmoor Community Fund is one of the good causes supported by the Rushmoor Community Lottery. The Rushmoor Community Fund provides a generic option for players of the lottery who do not have a particular allegiance to a specific cause, to select when they buy their ticket.
Good causes who are active participants in the Rushmoor Community Lottery are eligible to bid for a grant from the Rushmoor Community Fund. Funding is awarded by the Community Forum which is made up of representatives from a wide variety of organisations around the borough, who meet periodically to consider applications. The Rushmoor Community Fund is administered by the Council.
You can see details of how the money has been allocated on the Rushmoor Borough Council website at http://www.rushmoor.gov.uk/communitylottery.
